先進的実験と理論による地球深部物質学拠点

Members of GRC form an executive committee to effectively perform the present program, which will make concrete plans for research projects and academic programs, and organize several operational teams including all of the participating members of the present COE. T. Irifune is responsible for the entire program and will work as the program leader, as well as the chair of the executive committee, while T. Tsuchiya, T. Inoue, and M. Kameyama of GRC will play important roles in the present program as sub-leaders of the executive committee, supervising major research projects, education programs, and international affairs, respectively. K. Funakoshi of JASRI and H. Kagi of University of Tokyo will contribute to the program in collaborative work and internship programs relevant to the quantum beam mineral physics, while Y. Higo of JASRI and B. Li of SUNY will contribute to programs on ultrasonic measurements at high pressure and temperature.

As the present COE program aims partly at transferring advanced high-pressure and related technologies developed in Ehime University to the young generation, professors in mineral physics and petrochemistry, I. Ohno and T. Kawasaki of Graduate School of Science and Engineering, will contribute to the present program by teaching the techniques of ultrasonic resonance measurements, high pressure and temperature synthesis experiments, as well as some basic experimental techniques, to young scientists. A. Yamamoto of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering will also be responsible for teaching various techniques for data processing and computer programming relevant to solid Earth geophysics to young scientists.
